Spanish, Art Club Actively Involved This year's Spanish Club carried out the traditional club activities. The annual Christmas party was a great success. Pinata breaking and a taco feast served with Mexican hot chocolate were all part of the gala festivities. In the spring the Spanish Club ate out at a Mexican restaurant after attending Alejandra Dondines Dancers of the Americas. The 1983-84 Spanish Club officers are: President, Jim Swartz; Vice-President, Kris Simonson; and Secre-tary Treasurer, Jennie Evers. The Art Club was actively involved in many activities this year. They visited the Sheldon Art Gallery, went to Peru State College for a one-day workshop, silk screened T-shirts for the Art Club members and visited the Imperial Advertising Agency. The Art Club raised money for these activities by holding their annual bake sale and raffling off an original oil painting. The club had two speakers Professor L' land 4 Sherwood from Peru Stat College who demonstrated water color techniques and Lila Reese who demonstrated oil painting. The 1983-84 Art Club officers are: President Jill Hudkins; Vice-president Susie Laudenback; and Secre-tary Treasurer, Stacy Miller. 24
