Hallway Strollers See Strange Fads 1983 was a year of many changes. Punk rock became more popular along with boat shoes. Izods, Ocean Pacific shirts, and pinstriped jeans. Computers and video games were being used more by people of all ages. Some of the more popular albums included Micheal Jackson's “Thriller , Journey's, Alabama's Mountain Music and Pat Benatar's “Get Nervous . The popular singles were “Beat It , “Swangin , Faithfully and Don't Let It End. 2

Jenny works hard on trying to complete her review sheet over acids, bases, and salts tor chemistry. Creative Projects Challenge Students This year many classes tried interesting and new projects. Mr. Joe Weyand's Honors Government Class participated as one of 16 schools in a mock trial sponsored by the State Supreme Court. The students dressed as lawyers and judges and actively took part in the trial. Mr. Randy Shada's P.E. classes were transported by buses to the bowling alley where they learned how to bowl. The art classes did innovative projects such as fashion design, learned how to write in caligraphy and displayed their oil paintings. The projects were sponsored by Mrs. Dawn Sempeck. The vocational department again held its annual vocational festival. They decorated the little theater like a carnival and the shop and art departments displayed their work. The home economics department held a style show. 4
