This year the band was directed by Ms. Deb Martin. They traveled to Pershing and Districts at Columbus and received a rating of II at both contests. Junior Dan Thompson received a rating of “I for his sax solo at Districts. Other superiors scored were Carolyn Fujan for flute solo, Carolyn Fujan, Kim Sackschewsky, and Lisa Hoffman for flute trio, and Deb Janecek, Elizabeth Johnson, and Dan Thompson for brass trio. The band played at graduation, athletic events and musicals throughout the year. The band also went to Minnesota for their annual four year band trip. While on the trip, they played at the Twin Cities Music Festival. Band Earns Four Superiors at District 27
