Speech Team Garners Honors The 1983 Speech Team, under the direction of Mrs. Hudson, sent four members to the state speech contest in Kearney. The competitors receiving Superiors at the district contest and going to state were: Ann Mumm for Original Public Address, Judy Rogers in Oral Interpretation of Poetry and Eric Gottschalk and Dave Dubois in Duet Acting. Jim Swartz, Michle Jacobson, Lanette Nelson, Carla Nyberg and Ann Mumm received an Excellent rating in Oral Interpretation of Drama. Entrants at the State contest performed well. Judy received a Superior in Oral Interpretation of Poetry, also receiving a Superior were Eric and Dave in Duet Acting. Ann received an Excellent in Original Public Address.
