Performances Keep Chorus Busy The 1981-82 chorus consisted of 55 students. These students kept busy throughout the year preparing for their many performances, holding many concerts during the year for the public to enjoy. The swing choir also kept busy performing at various places. Swing choir members were: Launa Torrens, Janette Pokorny, Theresa Shaw, Mary Schoen, Robyn Wel-ton, Janet DeLay, Bonita John, Ann Divis, Jeff Hudkins, Bruce Lind-gren, Jau Lzso, Eric Gottschalk, Tim Govaerts, John Hansen, Bill Hancock, and Dan Thompson. 18

Band Earns Superior At Plattsmouth The 1981-82 band, under the direction of Rick Richards and assistant Bob Arp had a very successful year. The highlight of the season took place when the band traveled to Plattsmouth to compete in their annual marching contest. The band received a Superior for the first time in four years. The band also competed in the Pershing Marching Festival and received an Excellent. Later in the year Wahoo went to Columbus to the district music contest where they received an Excellent. Solo flutist Tamra Dillow and baritone Mary Schoen each received a Superior rating. The band also performed a spring and winter concert, played at graduation, and marched in the Memorial Day Parade in downtown Wahoo.
