Small Annual,Newpaper Staffs Kept Busy Due to the small number of staff members, the 1981 annual staff kept very busy. Many hours were spent making layouts, taking pictures and writing stories. Because of the rising costs of producing the annual, many cuts were made to reduce the strain on the school's budget. The 1981 Chieftain staff was organized as a club instead of a class this year. Twelve students were involved in the Newspaper Club. This number of members resulted in the better coverage of school events. These twelve journalists were able to produce a new edition of the Chieftain monthly, consistently throughout the year. Much of the newspaper and annual staff's work was done in cooperation with the Wahoo Newspaper Office. Adviser Doug Watts also provided much needed guidance.

S.C. Keeps Busy Throughout School Year The 1980-81 Council had a busy year. President Gwynne Gon-nerman, and Wahoo Highs new Student Counselor, Dick Tingel-hoff, held weekly meetings so that the members could bring their own ideas together and hopefully help bring bigger and better activities to the High School students. The Gong Show, Pig Kissing Contest, Sadie Hawkins Dance, and the Game Day in which games were thought up and students participated, were only a few of the many activities in which the Student Council put on in order to earn money for their use.
