“Farmer Day” Pep Club Highlight This year the Wahoo High Pep Club returned to the merit system. It was established in hopes of bettering game attendance and over-all spirit because of a decline in pep club membership over recent years. Money raising projects were started very early in the year. These projects included a bakesale and selling jewelry and decorative trays. The cheerleaders sold greeting cards to help pay for new uniforms. A “Legs Contest” was won by freshman Davey Prokesh, pictures of entries “legs” were voted on by the school. Activities such as farmer day, hat day, and sock day offered a change from the typical pep club uniform. Farmer day was especially successful because of combined effort with the Student Council. Morning pep rallies were attended by the entire school for the first time in years, aiding the pep club’s battle to keep up school spirit. 29
