 The Miracle Worker was a sad, inspirational play about a family who had a handicaped little girl who was blinded when young. The eleven cast members met often to go over their parts in the play. I thought the play was very successful, I was happy with it and was pleased with the characters, set, and the student audience. They were very mature in their conduct, commented Director Bernie Clark. The highlight of the play was when Annie Sullivan, (Jeanine Lindquist) got Helen (Solveig Hansen) to spell words with her hands and to recognize things by the way they felt. The Miracle Worker was the first play done in years. It was well received by the audience and the cast and prop members who had lots of fun putting on the play. 15
