1. Director Bill Baumert directs the band as they play Pomp And Circumstance . 2. Jackie Jordon smiles as she just received her Diploma. 3. Mr. Graff.Mr. Hunzeker, Mr. Hulse, and Reverend Monson all took part in the ceremonies. 4. Everyone stands while Seniors enter the auditorium. 5. Mr. Hulse congratulates Scott Buchanan as he receives a Wrestling scholarship from Midland College. 6. Ricky Barth and Lynette Anderson enter the gym for Graduation Exercises. The first commencement excercises in the new school were held for 53 member Wahoo High School class of 1977 Sunday May 22, 1977 at 2:00 P.M. The Processional and Recessional were played by the Wahoo High School band under the direction of Bill Baumert. Reverend Daniel Monson offered the Benediction as well as the Address “A Season For Everything . The musical selecton Corner of the Sky was presented by the Wahoo High School Swing Choir under the direction of Lonnie Olson. Honor Cords were presented by Ronald M. Hulse, principal and Scholarships were presented by James L. Carlson, Councelor. Diplomas were presented by Jane Johnson and Ken Christensen, of the Board of Education. Flowers were given by Burl Graff, Senior Sponsor. 8

A very successful spirit week began Homecoming festivities this year. Pep Club girls showed the athletes their appreciation by making spirit boxes, booster buttons, garters, and cakes for each guy. “Love is a Warrior Victory” was this year’s theme. Unfortunately the Warriors lost to the Cenntenial Broncos 28-0, causing low spirits for the Homecoming dance. Nevertheless, excitement still hung heavily in the air when Junior Julie Yarmon announced Queen Deb Barry and King Tim Shanahan as the 1976 royalty.
