Warrior Wrestlers 1970-1971 The 1970-1971 Wahoo High Wrestling Squad ended its season with an impressive record of 6-2-1 along with the Capital Conference Championship for the third consecutive year. The potential of this young team is evident in the personnel of the varsity squad which was made up of only 1 senior, 5 juniors, 5 sophomores and 1 freshman. The Warrior matmen took the Bergan Invitational Tournament and the Capital Conference tournament. Chuck Trutna, the only Senior Varsity member, displayed his experience by turning in the fastest pintinte for the season with a time of 19 seconds. Sophomore wrestlers, John Arney and John Trutna show very promising careers ahead by turning in some impressive showings. John Arney turned in the most wins for the seasons and the most championships with 25 wins and 5 pins. John Trutna had the most pins of the season with a total of 12. According to Coach Sutherland, the most improved wrestler was Russ Keller a promising sophomore. 28 Coach Jim Sutherland and only Senior wrestler Chuck Trutna display trophies.
