Graduation Brings Honors to Seniors May 26, 1967 was a special day for the graduating seniors of Wahoo High. Members of the class had mixed emotions as they went forward to receive their diplomas. The evening commencement ceremony consisted of speeches given by Phyllis Barry and Kathy Meese, and two musical numbers by Nancy Schmer and Connie Man-stedt. Scholarships were awarded to Phyllis Barry from University of Nebraska and Michigan State University, Kathy Meese and Harvey Johnson from Nebraska Wesleyen, Jeanille Chrisman and Mary Harders from Lincoln Beauty Academy, Pam Peterson from Ben Your Hairdresser School of Beauty, Nancy Miners from John F. Kennedy College and alternate from University of Nebraska, Larry Gregg alternate from University of Nebraska, Nancy Schmer from Saunders County Teachers Association, and Ken Kontos from University of Nebraska. Look out world, here I come! Nancy's now ready to take over East Campus The Reds have finally mode it.
