t . SENIOR CLASS HISTORY CF I952 On September 9, 1948, thirty-three shy, self-conscious freshmen passed through the doors of Wa-Ki Hi to begin their four-year climb up the ladder to graduation. These frosh were promptly initiated and proclaimed full-fledged members of the Wa-Ki Hi student body. Their first activity was to sell refreshments at a football game to raise funds for a successful Senior Farewell given in May. As Sophomores the Class of 1952 sponsored two dances, a Halloween Dance and a Sweetheart Swing in the Spring. Lovers Lane was the theme of the second dance and the gym was decorated with pastel streamers and flowers. Make up, stage props, costumes-the junior Class started the 1950-51 year by giving a very successful play Don't Keep Him Waiting, directed by Mrs. Carlstad. In April they entertained the Seniors at a banquet and prom in the Norse Hall which was decorated with the theme Harbor Lights. September 1951, the members of the Class of 1952 began their last climb. Their first project as Seniors was to initiate and entertain the Frosh at the annual Frosh Wel- come Dance. On November 30 the Seniors sponsored the Senior Ball. Hendrickson's orchestra played and the theme was Rainbow's End. Sunday, May 25, the Seniors attended Baccalaureate services and May 26 the Class of 1952 reached the top of the ladder-GRADUATION!
