JUNIOR CLASS HISTORY The school year of nineteen hundred and thirty eight opened to find fortyhseven enthusiastic and ambitious Freshmen entering school. These Fresh? men were all anxious to start there high school career. Successful activities were carried out by the class. A Basket Social was given by the class that fall in order to raise money for the annual Fare- well Dance in honor of the Seniors, to be given in the spring. These two events proved successful, and after the program presented to the Student Body later in the year, it showed that the real talent. At the end of the Freshmen year the lost three members due to withdrawals. When coming back the following fall bered thirty-three students. The annual party was sponsored by the Sophomore cl tober 6. This was an important event for class had class had they num- Sophomore ass on Oc- the Soph- 11 omeros. They carried out the UHard Timesn theme, and the dance was a great success. On January 22, the class presented a program to the student body. This year opened with thirty-two Juniors who were overjoyed and proud to be upper classmen. Determined to show that they were still an active class, they started im ediately to make plans for the Annual Junior play. nThe Night Was Darkn was the name of the production. It was a great success and added about S100 to the Junior Class fund. On March 8 the class showed 3 films as their student body program. Plans for the annual Junior and Senior Prom given on April 25, kept the Juniors busy, during the spring. Thus, finishing their third successful year, they are ready to take over the Senior room next year and may it be a happy one here at Us-Ki-Hi. 2 iv 2.
