A few weeks later they sponsored is a combined candy sale and camera raffle. They had fd already gained the reputation of being a snappy and cooperative class. The most important event of the Q, year for them was the Sophomore dance. A spring A theme was used and the dance, given on March 31, Q was very successful. Onward and upward they climb- R ed and they were finally upper classmen, a digni- ya fied group of Juniors. One of the best Student 1 Body programs given that year was presented by the an class of '4l. In November a delightful comedy, Q9 nHappy-Go-Luckyu was presented with the help of V some Seniors. Their last and most important ac- 53 tivity was the annual Junior-Senior banquet. The fi Scottish theme used proved very popular and their rg banquet was a great success. A few of the students A sponsored the Prom independent of the Junior Class. 3 Although this was not the usual procedure it also W was successful. Q4 At last the class had reached their goal. They A were Seniors, looked up to be all the other classes 152 and proud of the fact that they had climbed so far. fd The Freshmen Welcome dance was given by them in the 5 City Hall. In February the class journeyed to Olym- X pia to view the State Capitol. At one of the Stu- dent Body meetings they presented two educational ly films. 19 As May approached the Seniors anxiously await- lf ed their graduation. They realized that in a few Q9 weeks their high school career would be over. It 49 was decided that the class would graduate in gray T caps and gowns with blue and white tassels. The 49 type of diploma selected was an engraved plaque.
