Teochers Hre People Too Don't you ever wonder what all your teachers do in their extra time? You know they can't always be grading papers and filling out failing slips, so we decided we'd step into their private lives. I mean, did you ever think about having a rootin'-tootin' cowgirl teaching Earth Science or a famous actress as a History teacher? You may have trouble believing that all these teachers actually do this, but we can assure you that it is true. Believe it or not. Qc 5 iw, i Early each morning Darrell Morgan wakes up and goes down to his cafe to get everything ready for his hungry customers. Then he rushes to school for his classes. And after school he can always be found back at his cafe, again. The Main Street Cafe serves homemade food and pies. lt is a central point for Wagoner business and school people to gather to discuss affairs. He has owned the cafe for the past 10 years. He teaches history, civics, and science at the junior high. 14 Teachers Are People'Too N77 1 Most of us like eating fish, but Clay Frost enjoys catching them. His favorite kind is the catfish, especially the big ones. The other day l caught one so big that l was afraid Jonah was gonna pop out, he exclaimed. The biggest fish he has ever caught was a seven pounder. When Mr. Frost is not fishing, he is custodian at the high school.

The role she most enjoyed was playing Kate in Never Too Late because the character was lots of fun. Her most difficult role was playing Helen in Spiral Staircase. Because Helen is a mute, Janice had to do all the acting with her face and body, and no voice. Pictured here with her is Dan French in a scene from that 1982 production. Mrs. Aldridge never took drama.in school, although it was something she always wanted to do. And she en- courages everyone to take it in high school. She teaches 9th grade American History and language arts, and is cheerleader sponsor. Around his desk, it looks like a miniature museum. Richard Blunk has been collecting Incredible Hulks for the past 5 years and he displays them all. It all started the year he first moved into his present classroom. The previous teacher had left a Hulk poster and each year his students have bought him dif- ferent Hulks. Another hobby he enjoys is listen- ing to Roy Orbison records. He has all of the records that Fioy has ever made. He teaches 8th and 9th grade American History. Teachers Are People Too 15
