Dedication . . . ln the' history of a school such as Wagner, there appear inevitably a number of outstanding administrators and professors. Seldom, however, is one found who not only fills the requirements for both these positions, but also fills them with an immeasurable amount of dedication and efficiency. Such a man is Dr. Adolph J. Stern. Dr. Stern. a native of Nuremburg, Germany and a graduate of the Technical University of Munich joined the Wagner faculty as Professor of Chemistry in 1942. Eight years later he was appointed Chairman of the Chemistry Department. and in 1952. was made Dean of the College. He has received doctorates in organic chemistry and physical chemistry-bio-physics. Dr. Stern has been the author of technical articles, and was co-author of a 1940 Leipzig chemistry text. a man, Dean Stern has contributed much to Wagner life. He has been, in a large part, responsible for the success of the Wagner College Study Program in Bregenz, Austria. Few will ever forget Dr. Stern's reading of The Night Before Christmas at the annual Weilmachtsfest. We will never forget the unsellish, patient, dedicated manner of a man who is truly a friend to all of us.
