The fra- ternity was organized in l 948 and since then has increasingly contributed to the cultural and to the scholastic spheres of college life. Some of its past achievements include con- certs by Raymond Lewanthal, Thomas Dar- son, Alfonso Montecino, and a band festival in which over two hundred band instrumen- talists from eastern states participated under the direction of Dr. William Ravelli. Many regular chapel programs are also sponsored by Beta Gamma Chi. The fraternity asks of its brothers a worthy scholastic record, coupled with an active interest and partici- pation in the field of music. 77 Brothers in College Andre Beaumont Frederick Bahrer Arthur Browne Norman Dinkel Kenneth Dorkof Richard Dupre Martin Gonser William Gordon William Hahn George Handley Burt Helgeson Howard Hrdlicka Kenneth Jaehnert Robert McHale Richard Mohrman Adolph Moller William Newton Richard Pankow Ernest Spangler Daniel Uzupan Mihkel Viise Edward Weiskotten Howard Weiss Herbert Wickleder Honorary Brothers Dean John R. This singular honor was bestowed upon one of the most cohesive and enthusiastic organizations on the campus. Under the inspired leadership of Dr. Sigvart Steen, the choir has done much to spread the fame of Wagner College. Critics have been moved to write, . . a sterling program, one of the highest quality concerts ever heard g . . . a flawless pre- sentationug and, . , . purity of tone and musical maturity worthy of any professional group. Hard work and much time is spent in order to be worthy of such remarks. Each year a three-week concert tour is conducted under the management of Dean Ian Morrison. Concerts have been presented in all major cities ofthe East, and this year's appear- ance in Town Hall was an outstanding success. We doff our hats to the Wagner Choir and to Dr, Steen, and we wish them . . . bon voyage.
