Kappa Sigma Alpha Fraternity was organized in l93l for the express purpose of promoting the loyalty of its brothers to Wagner College and of effecting a greater realization and at- tainment of their scholastic, cultural, and spiritual ideals. The underlying fraternal feeling is based on the desire to produce a closer relationship and a deeper consideration and understanding among the students at Wagner College. lt is the cosmopolitan spirit which pervades the activities of the fraternity at all times. 'i i i. ai- In memoriam tor Roger Ling, the fraternity sponsored and participated in its first annual Memorial Service which was held at the church of which he was a member. Continuing its tradition of Service, the tra- ternity inaugurated a big brother program through which underprivileged youngsters were enabled to enjoy athletic contests ot the Wagner College teams. With the future interests ot its members in mind, a new program was begun which will bring .businessmen from various fields to give the brothers an insight into the opportunities available to them in the business world. rl W 1 as its scholastic interest, the fraternity presents three awards annually: The Kappa Sigma Alpha award in education, the Kappa Sigma Alpha award to the year's most outstanding player on the Wagner College football team, and the Gordon Lathrop Scholastic Cup. The group annually sponsors a semi-formal dance, a Founder's Day banquet and a May Day social. The fraternity dances, which feature continuous music, are well known for their unusual and exotic decorative effect. The reactivation of the Kappa Sigma Alpha Alumni Association in l95l has added to the strength of the group in the attainment of its ideals. 99 Brothers Kappa's Homecoming float.
