The main ideals upon which the sorority was founded are the mainten- ance of sound Christian living, scholastic achievement, and loy- alty to Wagner and her traditions. Theta is proud of the leadership and active interest of her members in activities outside the school as well as within. The sisters are leaders in such clubs and organizations as Varsity Players, Dormitory Council, Stu- dent Christian Association, Campus Community Chest, Student Council, and the Kallista, and several of the seniors were honored by being placed on the list of Who's Who in American Colleges. The highlight of the year was the highly successful annual dance. It was the first Wagner dance to be held at the Richmond County Country Club. Theta was proud, too, to receive second prize in the Homecoming Day float parade competition. Another annual undertaking was the collec- tion and distribution of Christmas gifts for children at Seaview Hospital, and Theta's annual Business Administration Award was presented to the most deserving senior at the Student Body Banquet. Besides various successful rush socials and other parties held by the sorority, the pledges gave a Sock Hop in honor of the sisters and their dates -another success. I Theta Pi Epsilon is happy to announce that in the spring of this year she became affiliated with Alpha Omicron Pi. A member of the National Panhellenic, this sorority was founded at Barnard College in 1897 and be- came an international organization in 1930.
