GIESEMANN i Yacht The XVagner College Yacht Club was organized in 1949 by a group of sailing enthusiasts. The purpose of this club is to promote interest in sailing and intercollegiate small craft competition. Membership is open to all members of the student body interested in sailing regardless of previous nautical experience. Activities of the club include movies, slides, and lectures on sailing and seamanship in general. Immediate goals of the club are membership in the Middle Atlantic Intercollegiate Sailing Association and the building up of a fleet of boats. Until membership in the M.A.I.S.A. can be realized, the club will continue to enter informal meets with local colleges. In this field Wagner already has a favorable record: first place in a meet with Cooper Union and H. P. I., also second place in another triangular meet with Stevens Tech. and Rutgers. First honors were given up, after a hard battle, to Rutgers in this meet. VVith the return of four experienced veterans of last yeafs team, Dick Dury, Bill Fensterer, Bill Hahn, and Dick Hahn, to serve as a nucleus to this yearis larger team, we look forward to more success in the future.
