Withva rich, national heritage of one hundred and five years to stand upon, and a future to look to with bright hopes, Alpha Sigma Phi celebrates its twenty-seventh year at Wagner College. Alpha emphasizes the ideals of leadership, fellowship, and loyality to the Alma Mater. The attainment of these ideals has, from the beginning of its existence, made the Wagner College chapter one of the strongest and firmest links in the national chain which numbers over seventy chapters at col- leges and universities from coast to coast. The liberty and dignity of the individual is also empha- sized by Alpha. Each brother is encouraged to develop his personality in the direction of noble achievement and concern for his fellow men. Zaire Delta Nu, the youngest Fraternity on the Hill, activated in I9-46, has risen fast in school life. The Fraternity strives for excellence in all phases of college life and boasts leaders in scholarship, athletics and Student government. Fall Fantasy , the annual dance, was the feature of the years activities which also saw the induction of nineteen new Brothers. Mr. Bull of the Business Administration Department and Mr. Herb Flamm were also inducted as honorary Brothers. The annual history award, the Roger Ling Memorial Medal, was presented at graduation in June. This year saw the formation of a Delta Nu Alumni Asso- ciation to maintain the bond of fellowship between the active and inactive brothers, and the publication of a monthly paper, the Delta News , designed to keep both Alumni and Active Brothers aware of the Fraterity events. During the past year the Brothers of Delta Nu have re- affirmed their pledges of Brotherhood and have cooperated to bring the Fraternity to a position of leadership and respect in the College.
