The Wagner Ski Club was organized this year for the benefit of those students who are ski enthusiasts. Quite a number of day and weekend trips were taken, and the club trav- eled not only to upstate New York but also to Connecticut and Massachusetts, where even the novice members of the group found the skiing excellent and enjoyable. Zmdt The Wagner College Yacht Club was formed during the fall ot i949 with the idea of bringing together those sailors who dread the long winter. Lectures and movies about sailing technique kept the club together until spring when plans were made for all to do a little sailing on week-ends with intra-club com- petition as an added attraction. Atter being recognized by the school, ap- plication was made to join the Middle Atlantic Commodore . . . Vice Commodore . Rear Commodore . Secretary-Treasurer . Fleet Captain. . . Faculty Adviser . . OFFICERS Intercollegiate Yacht Racing Association. If accepted, Wagner will be represented in meets with other schools in the Mid-Atlantic States Conference. An informal meet at Stevens is planned tor April. Stevens, Rutgers and Cooper Union will form the opposition for the Sea- hawks. The recently formed Natural Science So- ciety was organized to satisfy a need for a student activity that would foster greater un- derstanding of our environment. The Society seeks to integrate the knowledge within the group with that of formal sources to give a more meaningful picture to the members, Activities of the group include all forms of visual education such as motion pictures, color slide exhibits and nature photography done by the members. ln addition there are speakers when obtainable, and field trips. The latter ranges from weekend camping and sea- shore study to guided tours of zoos and mu- seums.
