I The Nimbus, a semi-annual literary magazine, sponsored by the Student Association, was instituted to bring out the worthwhile talents of literary minded students. This publication offers students opportunity to have their creative works extended to the entire Wagner College student body, ln this way abilities are fostered and recognized, encouraging young writers. D . The Varsity Debate Club ended its season upon a slightly lower note than last years successful squad, debating fewer teams and losing its share of contests. However, the society gained several new members and travelled more extensively than any previous debate club in Wagner's history. The Affirmative team consisting of George Bardes and James Kelly and the,Nega- tive team of Curtis Glenn and Omar Gjerness represented Wagner in the majority of debates. Stan Shapiro and Bill Scheffel went along in place of the regular Negative team to the Invitational Tournament at the University of Vermont last November. The team of Bardes and Kelly tied for first place in this affair. At Hofstra a month later they teamed with Gjerness and Glenn to take third place in a similar tournament for this area.
