.fe emcleqz ' THIS year Le Cercle Francais has enjoyed greater success than ever before due to the large, active mem- bership and the persevering aid of Dr. Haag, the faculty adviser. The aims of this organization are to promote interest in French speech, to broaden the significance of the French culture and to provide an informal means of con- tact between students and French instructors. Due to the unusually large response this year, Le Cercle Francais has been able to finance many events including trips to the city to see some of the recent French films. An effort is made each year to show an outstanding French film on the campus for everyone to see. The meetings have been marked by guest speakers including Dr. Bacher, Dr. Haag and M. Dalton. ln addition to the speeches there were musical entertainment, refreshments and dancing at each meeting. Two large parties are given each year, one be- fore Christmas and one at the end of the school year. . w X, x .1- , President , . Vice President Secretary . .
