ALTHOUGH the lack of a track caused all their meets to be away from home, the Seahawk track team had a fairly busy season taking part in six dual meets and two relay meets. Their record was 3 and 3 on the dual meets while finishing fourth in the Pennsylvania and Seton Hall mile relays. The fresh- man relay squad took fifth place in the Seton Hall meet. ln the opening meet of the season the City Col- lege Evening sessions played host to the Seahawks at McCombs Park. Wagner came home victorious by the score of 68V2-53V2. Earl Arnold, Bob Winckler and Joe Roggenburg led the point scorers and Larry Fauber romped home easily in the two mile run. Arnold won the 880 and 440 runs and tied for first with Bill Kelly in the pole vault. Winckler won the lOO yard dash and the broad jump and came in second in the l2O yard low hurdles. Roggenburg won the 22O yard run and finished second behind Winckler in the lOO yard dash. Representing Wagner in the Seton Hall relays were Earl Arnold, Joe Roggenburg, Sam Gibson and Frank Larsen on the varsity while Herb Schumann, Jack Schnoor, Bob Winckler and Larry Fauber com- prised the freshman team. ln a final meet against Upsala it was a case of not enough seconds as the Wagner squad took eight out of l4 first places yet lost 68-63 in a bit- terly contested contest. Larry Fauber, Earl Arnold and Joe Roggenburg were high scorers for the Wag- ner cindermen. Larry took the 2 mile run and tied 7aada cmcfeaou for first with Herb Schumann in the mile. Roggen- burg took the 220 and Arnold the half mile. The three then teamed up with Frank Larson to win the mile relay. Other winners for the Hawks were Neil Macintyre low hurdles, Jim Rahman javeline and Nick Baldassano shotput. The Wagner squad bounced back to trounce Brooklyn Poly by a 58-37 count. Winckler, Arnold, Fauber, and Roggenburg continued to be the top point getters as they accounted for six first and two seconds among them. Other firsts were scored by Phil Schick in the shotput and Ted Lovington and George Drews who tied for first in the high jumps. The Seahawk cindermen continued their winning ways, beating St. Peters of Jersey City 7l V2-59V2. George Drews with firsts and Joe Roggenburg and Bob Winckler with two wins each led the Wagner victory. Other Wagner men to place first were Milt Grosz, Jack Schnoor, Larry Fauber, Herb Schumann, Bill Kelly and Phil Schick. In the last meet of the season the Seahawks took a severe trouncing from Montclair State Teachers College losing by an 88-43 score, Larry Fauber took two firsts as did Bob Winckler. Earl Arnold and Milt Grosz each took one first and Wagner took the mile relay, This was the last meet for Bob Sabesen, Captain Earl Arnold and Joe Roggenburg. The leading scorer on the squad during the sea- son was Bob Winckler followed closely by Earl Arnold, Larry Fauber and Joe Roggenburg. Fauber, a long distance runner, was undefeated throughout the year.

THE past season, the fourth year under the capable coaching of Miss Helen Toebke, the Wagner Seahawkettes put up an increasingly well-integrated opposition to oncomers, Each year for the past four, the team has done better and is on its way to becom- ing a formidable opponent to the other schools of the Metropolitan area.
