ff, f , lv 'j,,,fL3, Dedicotion MR. STANLEY KEISTER 1920 -1965 This 1965 lunior High School annual is dedicated in memorial to the late Mr. Stanley Keister. He was a man of many interests . Following graduation from Garfield High School, he entered Akron University. His education was interrupted by World War ll. He served his country from 1942 to 1945 . After graduation from Akron University, he entered the field of radio broadcasting, working as a newswriter, disc jockey and script writer. Mr. Keister started teaching and remained in the public schools at Norwayne High School for three years . He then came to Wadsworth. He brought a rich background with him into the teaching profession. He was certified to teach speech, English, social studies , geography, and French. Education to him was a very personal individual process . He tried diligently to find and meet the needs of his pupils . I Mr. Keister was an active member of the Wadsworth Eootlighters . He loved to act and also used his talents in directing several plays . He had great enthusiasm for every aspect of the theater. He was loved and respected by all with whom he worked--faculty, adults in the community, and students . This was evidenced so beauti- fully when 800 junior high school students paid their final respects . To be taken at a young age , when he had so much living yet to do and so much talented leadership yet unexpended, is indeed tragic and hard to understand. He was a young man with great ability and humility. Truly he stood tall among men.
