' W mia HMM u . ,,,,. 'Fha EFUWW lH - W i i ra iti ns Even before the year begins, the Grizzly Fever glows through the school as traditions handed down throughout the years. As the stu- dents arrive, they al- ready know the two basic traditions RED and GRIZZLY BEARS. These can be seen everywhere in the school. Besides these, a special tradi- tion comes every fall, Homecoming. The tradition begins when the first per- son is asked out. The bonfire, the crown- ing of the queen, the game, and finally the dance create memo- ries to last a life time. The football season also holds the tradi- tional victory bell game between Us and Norton. Besides the football oriented traditions, many oth- er traditions mold the student body. The freshman are ex- posed to orientation, class officer elec- tions and the eleva- tor pass. The sophomores have their class rings and Drivers' Ed. juniors face magazine sales to pay their way. to junior Banquet. Fi- nally, the senior year is filled with tradi- tions. Seniors have the commons to study in, comp pa- pers to write, the rock toqpaint, the se- nior prank and flick day to scheme, the breakfast to eat, the prom to enjoy, and finally graduation to celebrate. Through- out the years every class and every stu- dent has come to know the traditions which make WHS what it is. Q .1',,,.
