To be eligible, one must I a grade average of at least eighty-five. this group, the ten per cent who have ceived the highest number of votes elected. In the spring, five per cent of junior class are chosen. At the formal initiation, the neoph or new members are taught the mear and reason for Honor Society members Character, leadership, scholarship, service are the foundations of organization. Although National Honor Society is inactive organization, the members are 1 proud to be a part of it.

L. chapter was rated third in the North- lstern Ohio District this year. The district itself is rated eighth , the nation. The Wladsworth speech teams attended contests in Alliance, finerva, Vlooster, Massillon, Canton, and Louisville on Satur- iys. The strength ol our team is assured by the fact that it is tilt around a strong nucleus of juniors and sophomores. At Minerva Henry Young demonstrated his extemporaneous speaking ability and H3118 Scherner showed his oratorical speak- ing ability by winning trophies. qs? alt I u V' Many honors were won by YVadsworth this year. At Student Congress, which was held at Canton Glenwood, four out of six possible awards-including pins by Tom Raynor and Pat Perkins and gavels by Bill Ciffin and Hans Scherner-were won. This foursome also forms Wadsworth's varsity debate team.
