This sentiment, though not entirely true, is probably expressed by many W.H.S. students during the dreary months of mid-winter. Activities break into that all- important school work to make the days more enjoyable. Who can forget the bonfire? The homecoming game? Who can forget the Y-Teen formals, T.A.C., and the disc- iockey dances? The speech tournament in which we cleaned up in every division, or the concerts which every- body was in, but which still managed to draw big crowds, or the class plays in which you forgot half your lines, but still could laugh afterwards-how many will forget these things? Yes, activities are fun, and they are also worthwhile. The student council has helped and improved W.H.S. in many fine proiects for the school, and groups such as N.F.L. and Honorary Rotarians are worthy to represent W.H.S. outside the school. Activities are what make school worth going to - true, but also the school is what makes activities worth going to.
