Junior high band members did a Hne selling job in the Tag Day campaign. Here Mr. Bob Brown- ing buys a tag from Kay Yelinek, Pam Randall, Jean Williams, and Marilyn Gibbs. much 0 our time. Painting a poster for the signboard in the city square is no small job. The art class, however, proved itself equal to the task last November to help advertise the P.T.A. Book Fair. 2.5. Magazine-happy juniors reported their sales every night after school last fall. Here we see a captain, Mike Miller, totaling up the receipts from Alan Trent and Fred Larson fthe juniors' top salesmanl. Mr. Muggs, the monkey, was a mascot and later a consolation fourth prize. Tony Rowe spent many hours at annual staff meetings with his ruler and pencil this year, for transferring the editor's layouts onto graph paper is an exacting job which requires a lot of patience. Here we see Patty Pate and Lucille Allen putting the finishing touches on their modernistic Christ- mas tree. The P.T.A. Thrift Shop has grown rapidly since it opened last April. Mrs. Harry Yeaman, the president of the P.T.A. Council, is one of the energetic volunteers who operate the store to earn money for scholarships and the school library. Urganized activities took up Thc boys' octet or 'tSerenaders entertain W H S audiences at concerts with their easy- going, harmony. Their favorites include popu- lar numbers like Standing on the Corner 'md The Banana Boat Song. On her daily round of the building to collect attendance slips, Janie Rohrer gets a quick glimpse of her friends hard at work in sixth- period English class. 1
