These words are heard echoing through Grandview Stadium early in the fall when our Grizzlies meet their foes. This year the cheers were louder and better than ever, for most of our opponents were from the Metropolitan League, and the goal was the championship. Although we did not come out on top, the Grizzlies set a fine record for their first year in the league. To prove this, we had two representatives, Kenny Miracle and Marion Pisanelli, chosen for the All-Metro Team. Keith Bunkholder and jim Gordon, tired and wet, watch the game while they rest up on the sideline. Fighting through the mud and rain, Wadsworth managed to outswim Spring- field. FRESHMAN FOOTBALL The experience needed to produce outstanding football players for the future teams of W.H.S. is gained through the freshman team. They then traveled to Columbus where they placed third in the state finals. They, indeed, have proved that lots of practice and teamwork bring the best results. Their varied programs include de- bates, song meetings, and group discussions. They also attend many inspirational and social meetings with other Y. F. C. Clubs. President Dick Smith engages the help of several Y. F. C. mem- bers to set up the phonograph as the others wait to listen to Christ- mas carols. Two of the most lively groups in our school are the stage and make-up crews. One or the other of them is always in the midst of the commotion that goes with the production being presented behind our footlights. While some stage crew member balances on the top of a ladder, a member of the make-up crew is trans- forming an athletic senior into a weak old man. Even though they see the production from backstage and only at intervals, you can be sure they wouldn't trade for front row seats. o -N 5 . n... fi n ag .51 af K 'S is X MTW?
