Football The flnal gun of the St Vlncents game sounded the end of the hugh school football careers of eight seniors Perhaps the greatest loss wlll be that of the Captaln of thls years team Keith Wolf Wolf has been playlng varsity football smce has sophomore year and on more than one occasion has shown his ablllty to get into the mrddle of the flght Although the team he captamed thls year was a losing outflt Wolf and hls band of GYlZZllCS showed the fans that the score board seldom tells the tale Coach Art Wright found It exceedingly dlfflcult to provide a wmnmg team when sev eral of hrs veteran semors were dlsabled by IIIJUIICS Replacing them with mexperlenced underclassmen was satlsfactory lnasmuch as positions Fighting experlenced teams who out welghed them ln every game the eleven con tlnued to be thorn ln the flesh of the opposmg team Wnth a backfleld made up of Oross Mllls Sondles and Longenecker the team expected to provide Wadsworth with many VlCtOTlCS The early loss of Longenecker was a blow and for a whlle It was necessary to put the full force on Nlllls -lack Russell was drafted to full the half back posltlon From the start he showed a declded effort to make good but the breaks were not with hlm Wadsworth was on the tall end of every score this year but with ten JUDIOTS and two sophomores receiving letters along with the eight seniors next year the Grizzlies will have the experience that they lacked this year they showed a willingness to fight for their . a .. . ..
