ophomore lass Presldent Elton Longnecker Vxce President Evelyn Nrcodemus Secretary Dale Leatherman Class Advisor Mr Hunsberger The socral events of the class were successful to a great extent During the first semester the class held a Hallowe en party and a Wiener roast The class held a very successful all hugh school dance during the last half year As for sports the boys took an active part m the schools vrctorles thrs season Besldes the many sophomores on the Reserve squad two boys broke into the Varslty one as a regular Three of our classmen entered the Reserve clrcle as very valuable men durmg the past basketball season The grunts of the wrestlers were increased by two of our sophomores who dad much to help Many of the members of the school s various clubs were supplned by active sophomores The Torch Club rs a club of sophomores havmg a mem bershlp of about one half of the number of sophomore boys Other members have jomed the Art Club G A A F F A Dramatxc Club Photo Club and others The sophomore class has had an active year with only one unhappy mcl dent on xts record but this wlll only help our classmates to know the nght thmg to do ln the future Tom Bates 6 I - 'Z I in their class' favor. 2

Clreshman lass This class IS composed of one hundred and fifty three members 82 boys and 7l glrls The flrst meeting of the class was held Oct 2 l935 Richard Peterson was elected presldent Paul Redmger vlce pre8lClenl and Robert Gaston secretary and treasurer Mr Wright was elected class advlsor A the next meeting xt was declded to have a party whlch was held m the gym Dec I7 I935 Games dancmg and refreshments featured the evening Several meetings have been held smce then mcludmg a party and a wlener roast proving very successful The class IS prominent nn athletncs having a football team and a basket ball team both under the able coachmg of Howard Dailey w1th Stanley Mal cult and Stacey Douglas acting respectively as captains The glrls also are actxve m sports having soccer volleyball and basketball teams wxth Betty Sanden Katherine Platz and ustme Williams servmg as managers ln their respective order Also four of the freshman glrls paullne Shenk Betty Stan den Evelyn Overholt and Cora Ford are future cheer leaders The class IS represented m the Student Council by ustme Wllllams and Robert Gaston and m the Local Honor Society by anet Hackenberg Robert Gaston and Richard Peterson It IS also well represented m the various soclal organlzatlons of the school and rs the founder of the Freshman Lxterary So clety of which Paul Redmger ustme Wllllams Walter Hood and Don Slmes ter serve as OEICCIS There IS much expected of the class ln the future and nts motto IS school first class and members second Don Snmester 8 , f.-' t I 1 , 3. .D . . .J. .. 1 ' . - J . .' . . 1- .',J. .-, Y .-
