This new manner of organization has been carried out in the effort to secure a group more representative of the student body than those of previous years. The council is composed of two members, a boy and a girl, from each class. Also two members, a boy and a girl are elected-at-large, Two faculty members are appointed by the principal to attend meetings and offer sug- gestions. The representatives of the junior high classes have not the power to vote. The president of the council Uack Wright, is elected from the senior class by the entire student body. The vice president CBill He-yll, secretary flVlagel Williamsl, and the treasurer fRuth Edisl are elected by and from the council at its first meeting. The purpose of the Student Council is to provide unity and cooperation of the student body and faculty in promoting the general welfare of the school. The first major project of the council this year was formulating the consti- tution. It was later subrnitted to the student body for their approval. --Lewis Joachim. 34 vi Mluonal 03601101 oclety Officers of the Club President Alfred Huston Sec y Treasurer Betty McDermott Advlser r Work There are eighteen members in the I936 Wadsworth Chapter of the were selected in their Junor year These four are Betty Sinks Magel Wil llams Bill Heyl and Alfred Huston The other nine seniors are jack Wright Ladema Slffert Ruth Edls Lewis oachlm ames Martin Ruth Dreier Tom Rodda Alice Frost and Betty McDermott The flve Juniors are Martha Rayne enme Walton Robert Krelder ack Furry and Mary Blough Three more members will be selected from the senior section of the Local Honor Society at the end of the year under the supervision of Mr Work the faculty adviser Pins will be produced later on It is a great honor to be one of those appomted for this society as the merits are dependent on scholarship leadership character and service Betty McDermott 35 .
