J FOREWORD A sea voyage is a great adventure. There are moments of despair and uncertainty when it seems that the destination will never be reached. Yet when safely ashore, we realize that the journey was worth it. Our high school days are such an adven- ture. At first our goal seems far, far away. But soon we sail past Freshmen Island, and on to Sophomore Village, Junior Town, and at last, Senior City. Suddenly we realize that we are almost there—Port Graduation is in sight! Our journey is almost over now, and another, greater one is beginning. From Port Graduation we embark upon the Journey of Life. That they may remember their high school voyage and use the knowledge gained to guide them safely through the Journey of Life, we, the members of the annual staff, present this, our 1959 edition of Hi-Ways, in honor of the Seniors.
