We felt we were the only ones in the school who had ever given a good Junior-Senior, or who ever would. That was a climax to our hard fought years of work, for this year we feel a little apart from the rest of the school. Not in the sense that we are separate, but the fact that we have obligations which only we can fulfill. We have set our goal, and set it high, so that we, the class of 1957, will always be striving upward. SENIOR CLASS Mrs. Gaddy and Mrs. Roper did everything but pour knowledge into our heads the following year. We were hanging on the precipice of remaining young or forging ahead into our much longed for high school days. At last we were seen with small but significant certificates in our hands. We were sorrowful whenever we lost someone from our class but happy to gain someone new. We were “lowly Freshmen,” but even to be recognized as such was better than not being recognized at all. Our sophomore year, we were gradually finding the pieces of the puzzle did fit together.
