Foreword The oak trees in the front of Wadesboro High School have for many years grown with her student; and as the students have changed their activities with the seasons of the years, so have these oak trees changed. We, the members of the annual staff, present this, our 1956 edition of Hi-Ways, in honor of the Seniors. We hope that this book will bring much happiness and pleasure to them, not only now, but in the years to come. As they look back on their high school days, may they cherish the memories of these trees and what they symbolize... classes... activities. . . de- feats . . . and victories. “Tall oaks from little acorns grow.”’ David Everett Table of Contents Medication 2 S AOnunistration and Faculiy= 324 - .. 4-7 SONA So, Semon Gitiss. ee 8-24 Underidssinen . a.) ee 25-40 ACTIVITIES Oe Pe 41-56 Witch 7 at See 57-72 Spring. ee ee ee as 73-80 Advertisements 81-98
