Department of Photography is in its third year of operation. Its primary purpose is the production of more and better pictures of school activities for the annual and the paper. A second- ary aim is photographic training and experience for staff members. The department is operated on a material-cost basis. The charges for any one pictures does exceed the immediate cost, but a great many pictures are taken from which selection is made. Any surplus funds are turned into n ew equipment. The very many hours spent by the staff are not counted in the cost. FOOTBALL Much to the surprise of many, this year’s Tiger football team far surpassed the ex- pectations of many. The “’so-so’’ team Wadesboro was expected to have turned out became a very strong contender for the conference championship. The Tig- ers, through hard work on the practice field and by maintaining such good spirit all through the season compiled a 7-3 over-all record and a 6-2 conference record. Until the last two games of the season the Tigers were in contention for the championship, finally emerging in third place. Assistant Coach Tony Sellari and Coach J.
