I 2 1 History department offers wide selection of courses Advanced Placement American History, an addition to the history curriculum, provided juniors with high school credit and an oppor- tunity for acquisition of three hours college credit. Civics, a study of federal, state and local gov- ernments, remained a required course for ninth graders. Minority history, a semester course was de- signed for juniors and seniors. Darrell Herbert stated, l feel that this course has made me aware of the contributions of the minority to the United States and to our culture. It has also enabled me to see the problems which other people are faced with.
