Creative Writing Begins In The First Grade Pupils found the first year of school to be an exciting one. Basic education was enhanced by the use of the creative approach. The teachers encouraged students’ imaginations by designing clocks, growing plants, and making gifts for Mother’s Day. Colorfully dec- orated educational aids helped make learning fun for first grad- ers. At the end of the year, first graders put their thoughts and ideas into stories, poems, and par- agraphs.
