The FFA Creed, learned by every Green Hand as a part of his degree requirements, further enlarges upon the ideas found in the motto. The development of agricultural leadership, cooperation and citizenship is the pri- mary aim ofthe FFA. Some of the purposes of the FFA, include encouraging mem- bers in the developing of their farming program, assisting them to become estab- lished in farming, to develop character, train for useful citizenship and foster patriotism, and to participate in other worthy undertakings for the improvement of agriculture and rural living.
