It was backed with outstanding subs: Gene Black, Wilfred Schaeper, Eugene Schaeper, Lowell Elliott, and Danny Baxley. Selected on the All-District first team was Thomas Tipton and Melvin Heaton. Those winning places on the All-District second team were Dewey Slaughter, Thomas Carpenter and Jesse ln- gram. Tipton was a two 'year All-District man and was leading scorer for the Trojans with 307 points for season play. He had a 13.9 points average per game. Heaton, a junior, was captain of the Trojan five and was second leading scorer with 223 points. He had an average of l0.l points per game. , Eygena Schaapoe Lowell Elliott. The opening game was played in the beautiful new gym at Tech with the Trojans on top by a score of 56 to 47. The next night, journeying to Marlin in a dust storm, the Trojans won in a thrill packed game by a margin of 31 to 30. The Tech Trojans played Gatesville for Bi-District, and lost a heart-breaking game with a close score of 29 to 33, thus, ending a wonderful season for the Trojans.
