They emerged with a two won five lost record. The team made progress with each game showing that they had the spirit and the determination of champions. The season opened with the loss to a more experienced East team. The game could have gone either way, but due to inexperience, Tech lacked scoring punch. The next two games were losses to the North and to the champion South Junior teams. The West game proved that lack of experience, the team's greatest weak- ness, was being overcome. The Little Troians fought a big West team to a stand- still only to fumble their chances away twice inside the West Junior five yard line. The first win was registered in the game with Reagan and the sensation of win- ning proved to be an added incentive to the team. The Tech team played the best game of the season against La Vega only to lose a heartbreaker when they fumbled on the La Vega one yard line with first and goal facing them. La Vega completed a long desperation pass in the last quarter of the game to walk away the victor. The climax of the season took place on Temple's Woodson Field when the boys showed championship spirit by overcoming a two touchdown lead by the Central team in the fourth quarter. These two drives by the Tech Juniors made T953 a successful season. r 1
