September 1-1. 1950-The Trojans played the Waco State Home as the opening game. ,lay Boyd and Billy Fitzhugh made the first of their many scores, beating the State Home 13 to 12. WEST. September 22, 1950-The Tech footballers ventured to West for their first District No. 20 try. They made a valiant effort, but the West passing attack proved too much. The final score-Vvest 22, Tech 6. WACO. September 29, 1950-Waco Tech's Trojans were overpowered by the La Vega Pirates. The score was 45 for the Pirates and 6 for Tech. In the fourth period Carl Payne intercepted a Pirate pass and ran 55 yards for the lone Trojan touchdown. TEAGLE, October 6, 1950-The Trojans played Teague in their fourth game of the season. The line and backfield got together for a 47 to 7 victory. Adding 13 points in the last half, Gatesville came out on top 19 to 6. MCGREGOR, October 20, 1950-The Tech team won its first District game against the McGregor Bulldogs after dropping three straight tilts. The underdog Trojans came out victorious 13-0. WACO, November 3, 1950-Waco Tech Trojans walloped the Mart High Panthers 52 to 13. The whole Tech squad got to play. The boys played a marvelous football game. The victory over Mart makes the fourth win for Tech this season with two games yet to play. CRANFILLS GAP, November 10, 1950-The Trojan team ventured to Cranfills Gap for their next 'game, a non-district tussel. With Jay Boyd making three touchdowns and Allen Holladay and Dewey Hyde starring on defense, the Trojans came out victo- rious 26-0. WACO, November 17, 1950-The Tech Trojans completed a tough season's schedule with a 6 won 3 lost record. Their final victory over Itasca, 31-25, was sweet revenge as the Wampus Cats had been victorious in the previous meeting.
