Conflagation Ignites Tiger Spirit Dimensions of Life Bonfires seem to always bring the Tiger student body back to school after regular school hours. And once again there was a large turnout on that chilly autumn evening in September. The 1976 bonfire started its roar at approximately 7:30 p.m. sparking spirit throughout the crowd anticipating a victory. Finally this important event climaxed into an inferno of excite- ment. Yelling for that wonderful Tiger team, singing the school song, and wondering who would reign as the 1976-77 Homecoming Queen was all a part of the bonfire pep rally. Behind the scenes, the Student Government put forth much effort as they went from place to place try- ing to obtain wood. After moving the preliminary structure several times the Student Government members finally decided on an ap- propriate spot. As the very last spark of the con- flagation diminished, the Waco High student body knew in their hearts that their spirit would shine brightly in the game against the Connally Cadets. a. Greg Roscher releases the first spark of spirit as he lights the first few logs of the bonfire, b. Mrs. Vera Gardner and one of the oldest exes from Waco High get involved and enjoy the annual Homecoming pep rally. c. Randy Breedlove... I'm an Aggie Aviator! d. Scott Wiley... Look ma, no cavities! e. Mark Potter to Billy Hixson, Craig Strauss and Larry Tadlock, Is that the Homecoming Queen of '65 behind us? f. Sheryl Stockton to Jody Spelman... Don't look now but the strap of her dress is untiedf' Lisa Cook and Pat Reid... You mean that is our double mum with everything on it, I guess he's not so cheap after all! Waco Tiger exes and football players show that great Tiger spirit at the pep rally.

Different decorations help to set the mood for Homecoming and one of them was the poster Dimensions Homecoming '76 is just a portion of the decorations that lines hallways during Homecoming week. Sr. Class President, David Ross and Foot- ball representative, Gerald Bolton, escort one of the oldest living Waco High exes and a friend. Student Government Representives mingle with Waco High exes and serve punch and cookies at the exes tea. l
