Musical Notes The music department is one of the largest in WHS. The band and chorus add spark and spirit to assemblies, pep rallies and sports events. Mr. Richard Perot is the director of the Tiger-lOO-man-strong marching band. The band begins practice marching in the summer to perfect their routines. This year they received a first division rating in the Universi- ty Interscholastic League contest. The band has many marching techniques, performing in city parades and at half time for football and basketball games. Mr. Randy Lofgren is head of the WHS choral department, the pride of which is the Golden Voices. They participated in the Homecoming Assembly, the Christmas Assembly and sang for many other groups. Mr. Perot's favorite vantage point is on top of the gym vvhile he watches the band go through their paces. 26
