Margaret Hay The Future Secretaries Club is limited to pupils who have a year of typing. Its purpose is to give members in- struction in office practices and information about modern office machines. The progrzuns were of two types-speaker and demon- stration. Guest speakers were drawn from among our former students that have made good in the business world. from the legal secretaries, from Wvaco High School teachers and representatiyes from the business schools of XVaco. Une of our most interesting demonstration programs was the demonstration of the equipment in the office practice room. Ainong the machines demonstrated were Page Ill the liquid duplicator, the mimeograph, the dictaphone. over the electric typewriter and the calculator. Another demonstration took place in the office. A member of the club showed how the switch board is operated and dis- cussed the work and responsibilities connected with the switch board. For the benefit of the seniors that will soon be out in the business world. a number of our programs centered around the study of how to apply for a job and listening to actual recordings of job interviews. The Future Secretaries Club is not all business. :Xt the end of each term a party is held in the cafeteria with attractively arranged tables.

Cienheinier Service Club hegan its fall activities hy helping with the get acquainted open house for the new girls that came to XVaco High School. The Kar-dec-o-rate was heltl in November to foster spirit for a District football ganie. llany of the girls helped with the High Hat, hoth in planning and in actual performance. In the spring the annual Genheinier Revue was pr?- sentetl. It was the niain nioney-making project. Cake and cookie sales were niinor nioncy-nial-:ing p1'ojects.
