Dudgeon, Dr. Oliver, Mr, Smith, Mr. Darden, Mr. Crews The present members of the Board of Education of the XVaco Independent School District are Ur. Howard Dudgeon, Presidentg Klr. ll. E. Crews. Secretaryg Klr. Vic Andersong Blr. Yvilliam Uardeng llr. Franklin Smithg Klr. Champe Firzhugh, slr.: Ur. Tom Oliverg and llr. Peeler Vvilliams. Alr. Currently engaged in an extensive huilding program. the Board is contributing to the betterment of education in our communitv. The burden of this program is carried hy two committees. The first is the Building Committee which is responsihle for the construction of new schools and for additions to the huildings now in use. llemhers of this committee are Klr. lfranklin Smith. Chairman: llr. Hvilliam llarden and Ur. Tom Oliver. The other committee is the Site Committee which is responsible for securing the necessary land for school ad- ditions. Serving on this committee are llr. Peeler Uvilliams. Chairmang Klr. Anderson and hir. Fitzhugh. Continued improvements are under wav as contracts have heen let for a new junior high school. a new elemen- tary school. and an addition to an elementary school now in use. The hoard is making plans now for another junior high school and another elementary school. lhe memhers ot the lloard ot lzdueation devote a great deal of time and energy to the improvement and growth of our schools. Vve are grateful to these men for their unseltish service to the conmuuuty and to us in Wvaco High School.
