All of the stutlents are aware of his personal interest in their welfare. As heaml man in onr school systeln, hlr. Carruth supplies the foresight and careful planning that ire necessary to the maintenance of a modern and tffieient school system. Crews THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES The Board of Trustees works faithfully without remuneration to provide the best possible free education for the children of VVac0. This year they are engaged in a doubly hard task- that of carefully spending the 54,000,000 which was voted for a building program for the schools. This task is in most capable hands, for these men are extremely efficient and trustworthy. The VVaco High School student body is indebted to these men who take time from their businesses to serve our schools. Now serving as school trustees are Prof. Neil S. Foster, Dr. Howard Dudgeon, hlessrs. Oscar C. Taibb, Phil Teeling, Ira Dryden, Oliver Wiiitthell, and Ed Berry. 5 Page

Cabe, VVaco High School has become one of the most pro- gressive schools in the state This is due to his con- stant efforts to improve our school and benefit the students. During his four years at High School, he has given us the vocational guidance system, the good sportsmanship code, the activity point system, and the guidance programs for the students. Under his guidance there has been expansion of the school clubs and advancement of the student government. He has always worked for democracy in our school and fairness to every individual. His ability as a leader in YVaco High School has been unquestionably established. MR. O. R. LAIDIC, M. A. ,lysislanl I'rim'ipul, Iinys' .-ltlfL'i.wr The kind and smiling face of H111 U. R. Lade has become a familiar sight in the halls of VVaco High School. Considerate of all, he is constantly working for the betterment of the school. In his role as boys' advisor, Blr. Lade is known for his great patience. Having been a teacher in VVaco High School for many years, he has developed a keen understanding of the problems and interests of boys, along with firmness when necessary. As assistant principal he has charge of the grounds, cafeteria, study halls, and does credit checking for the IIA boys. VVaco High is indeed fortunate to have such a capable and efficient person among its administrators. Page I0
