They had many things to tell us. Among them were that Eunice Killion and Olga Lemke were still teaching school. They also told that Dan Cupid had been busy in our absence, and the victims were Lucile Williamson and Clarence Davis, Lucile Ashbrook and H. K. jett. They were sorry to say that Lawyer John jenkins had been employed in the divorce proceedings of Lorene Tomlinson and George Wolfe. We are sure that John settled their matrimonial tangle to the good of all concerned. As we were coming from the station to the Raleigh, we noticed pa sign that read Winchester Bros., Sports and Athletics. We stopped to see if it were Robert and William and sure enough it was! They told us that Thurman Saxon was noted football star. It was a jolly crowd that assembled at the Raleigh on this February l, l935, with Mr. and Mrs. George Peoples as host and hostess. fMrs. Peoples is known to our -old class as Miss Velma Slonel. Among those who gave us a hearty welcome were Rev. Carl Carson, pastor of the first Baptist Church, Mayor Harold Clark, Ettie Claire Jolley, teacher of art in Baylor University, and Ruth Montgomery, owner of a unique novelty shop. Waco High School is still doing splendid work with Woody Hodson as principal and Claude W'eaver and Ruth Stovall as members of the faculty. The last, but not least, Raymond Rowell accompanied by Miss Dell Scott, brought back sweet memories of old by singing Spirit of Waco High. Lorena Wheatley, Prophet. !lF'M X All aww illxftaea Q swf!! Stand weg our hearts and lips the anthem crying, Honor and fame to the colors that we fly. Long may they wave and vict'ry ever crown them- Every new year more laurels to them bringg Rivals may dare but none shall ever down them: Silence shall never claim the song we sing. Then let us all, one grateful voice according, Speak of the ones who piloted us through, Give them our deepest thanks, to them awarding Proof of our gratitude, and homage due.
